Prescribed burn season is an exciting time for all stewards of Missouri’s natural resources. The ability to burn our natural habitat allows us to restore nutri...ents, reduce invasive plants, and encourage growth of unique and native forms and grasses. The prescribed burn conducted yesterday (12/9) at Knob Noster State Park with park and Katy Trail staff was very successful. The Clearfork Grassland unit, located north of Clearfork Lake will be a sight to see this coming spring. Mark your calendars so you can witness habitat restoration in action.
