This morning, in St. Ann, a person started their car with the auto start and then went back into the house. When the person came outside to go to work (about 5... minutes later), the car was gone. Fortunately, it was recovered close by, had no damage, and is currently being processed for fingerprints (fingerprint dust is a pain to clean). Officers had been on the same street a few minutes earlier writing crime prevention notices for running cars!!! Once again, please do not leave your car running while unattended.

Due to Covid 19 the normal area wide collection of food we help with each year is not possible. At our last meeting we announced Mayor Chamberlain the Board and our staff still wanted to collect what we could for those in our City needing it. Since then we have received some donations but not enough to meet the need in these tough times. We will distribute what we have but if any body else in town can contribute we would greatly appreciate it. We are collecting at City Hall during normal business hours. If it helps Mike & Peter can pick up also. Please contact City Hall.

Wishing Charlack residents a Happy Thanksgiving!! Just a few reminders. COVID 19 will not stop Santa from visiting the kids of Charlack on Dec. 19th. although this years parade will have to be slightly different. We don't want Santa to get sick before his big night on Christmas Eve. Come out and wave to Santa, maybe make a list and we will make sure he gets it. The Parade will start on the west side of town at 6pm and the east side at 7pm. ... We are also still collecting food and toys for the needy in our community. With Ritenour schools not in session they are not collecting like they normally do so we, as well as others, are trying to fill in the gap. Donations can be dropped of at city hall M-F 8AM-4PM or by Calling Mike and Pete at 314-974-4911 and they will come pick up.
