God finishes what He starts. Can you imagine if God had walked away from creation 3 days in? Or if He only fed half of the 5000 people who were hungry? He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6 God is a God of completion. He is faithful from beginning to end. His goodness and mercy are never-ending. You can trust Him today even though you may feel unfinished or incomplete. We are all works in progress. But we can trust Him with the rest of our story. His love for you and the work He is doing in your life is ongoing. He’s not finished. With you. With this world. He will see you through! Sandi

Unfair. Unexpected. We’ve all been on the receiving end of something that we didn’t deserve. If you’re in that situation right now, what should you do? You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. Genesis 50:20 It took years and a lot of water under the bridge for Joseph to see God’s hand on his life. He was mistreated. Wrongly imprisoned. Abandoned. And he still concluded that God was working through it all. God is just and doesn’t condone wrong. He is also always working out His good and perfect plan in your life. And the world. Today may feel unfair. But you are still in God’s care. Trust His timing. And His ability to work good out of every situation. Sandi

When my husband and I were still dating, I didn’t say I love you quickly. I had seen the word misused and I didn’t want to simply throw it around lightly. To say I love you means this: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs 1 Corinthians 13:4-5 Some days I love well. Some days I don’t. But this verse reminds me of the work that the Holy Spirit is doing in my life. He loves us perfectly and then empowers us to love well. May our lives reflect God’s love to a world who is longing to be loved well. Sandi

I say things to myself that I would never say to anyone else. Critical. Demeaning. Unkind words. You know what? It isn’t ok. If it isn’t true or kind, we shouldn’t say itto ourselves or anyone else. There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1 There’s a difference between conviction and condemnation. One leads you to Jesus and the other leads you to shame. If you are constantly putting yourself down for something in your past or living in a condemning state of mind, there is a better way. God isn’t honored by condemnation. He doesn’t offer it to us. And He isn’t pleased when we participate. Accept His grace. And offer it to others and to yourself. Sandi

If you wrestle with anxiety or stress, then you know how elusive peace can seem. Our minds can so easily fixate on worry but drift so easily from truth and trust. Are you ready for a reboot of your thoughts today? You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Isaiah 26:3 How do you keep your mind fixed on God? Feed it well. Have you identified the things that foster faith in your life? And the things that rob you of peace? Fe...ast on the good. The more we focus on Him and feed our mind with truth, the more we find peace. God, we trust you and we want to focus more on you than anything else today. We trust you. And we thank you for perfect peace. Sandi See more

Painful. Long-lasting. Unfair. Those are some words that I use to describe suffering. Without fail, one other word invades my thoughts every time I’m hurting. Why? If you are in a difficult season of pain and questioning right now, I pray that His words bring you comfort. suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. Romans 5: 3-4 As much as it may not feel like it, there is purpose in our pain. It teaches us todaywe develop character and learn to persevere. And it prepares us for tomorrowsuffering loosens the grip we have on all things temporary and strengthens our hope for eternity. I pray that you find comfort today. And that your pain deepens your hope. One is temporary. The other lasts forever. Sandi
