Therapist graphically measures the spinal curves and lean, including scoliosis. This information is input into a computer program to give a specific exercise program based on the results of the spinal mapping. It can un-weight the patient, reduce pain and muscle guarding. It is possible to change posture, reduce pain, increase mobility safely through low impact kinetic exercise in a functional position.

OCH/Advantage Therapy is pleased to announce the opening of the Ozarks Area Autsim Clinic. This is the only clinic of this kind in Southwest Missouri, using a two-day team model with five professional providers to evaluate and diagnose children with suspected Autism Spectrum Disorders. This program is a two-day multi-disciplinary evaluation.

Summer Swing Today we are having our "Summer Swing" party at the clinic. We are having "ballpark" food and pop!! We are also have a drawing for tickets to the Springfield Cardinals game in the RedBird Roost!

Chuck successfully completed the Hand Therapy re-certification. The Hand Therapy Certification Committee re-certifies active therapist every 5 years based on meeting work experience and clinic continuing education requirements. This allows Chuck to use the CHT designated after his name. Chuck was also the 1st CHT in the Springfield area. Way to go Chuck!!!!

In February, Chuck went on his 3rd trip to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, for a medical mission’s trip through MACLA. MACLA is a not-for-profit corporation which was developed for the purpose of surgically treating poor residents in the Dominican Republic and other third world countries in the repair of cleft lips and palates, burn scar contractures and various other correctable physical deformities.

Our Patient Care Coordinator/Marketing Director, Alisha, just returned back to work from maternity leave. She had a healthy baby girl named Kenadie on Jan 13th. She weighed 6lbs 12 ozs and 18 inches long! Pictures will be uploaded soon!
