Tonight my son Josh Sprouse starts the #Crucible. He enters as a recruit at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego and Thursday morning he will be given his E...GA(Eagle, Globe, Anchor) and will have earned the title UNITED STATES #MARINE. If you are unfamiliar with the Crucible it is a grueling 54 hour 48 mile test of his training with little sleep and nutrition. It is a rite of passage for every Marine. There is a tradition among family and friends as their recruit enters the crucible a candle or lantern is lit as a way to raise awareness and stand in prayer and solidarity. Well this searchlight is my big candle. Please do me a favor and share this for awareness of all the recruits tonight and if you see the lights in the sky please say a prayer for my son Joshua and all the recruits. Please pray that he will be given supernatural strength and endurance, that God will guard his heart, mind, and emotions and protect him. Jennifer McCullough Sprouse and I are so proud of our son.
