Always Brothers 04.11.2020

Today marks the 15th Anniversary of the day we lost our Brother Tyler Swisher in Iraq. So if you could take a minute today we would love for people to write a memory of him or a picture of raising a toast to him on our page. Semper Fi, Semper Fratres. If you would like to honor him by donating to the Scholarship that bears his name we would greatly appreciate it. If everyone who follows this page donated $15 today, we could raise $50k which is just over half of what we need to make secure the scholarship goes on in his name forever. https://charity.gofundme.com//capt-tyler-swisher-memorial-

A big thanks to Ky for taking the lead on this last event. Ky barely knew Captain Swisher yet he will sacrifice a lot of personal and family time trying to corral the rest of us into making this a success. Semper Fi Ky!

We always ran with Tyler’s dogtag. He was with us at every step. In 2012 we ran for Lima Company/ 3rd Battalion/ 25th Marines. The day before the run I got Tyler’s tag put around my neck by his wife. Another Gold Star wife saw and asked what it was about. She asked me to take her husband along with us too. I got 80 in that day. How can you run 80 miles? Answer below.

Arlington National Cemetery. Section 60, Stone 8254. The morning of August 12, 2011. 100 miles in 27.5 hours as a team. We would have said ‘mission accomplished’ then, not knowing that the mission had just started.... We will see you August 7 & 8, 2021 to secure Captain Swishers legacy.
