Beard, Brews, and Que 30.01.2021

Well, finished the brisket off and a couple of things: 1) The rub I made up was delicious, a few tweaks for next time but overall satisfied 2) The point cooked really fast today, and was delicious. I was going for some pulled brisket for a couple of things I have planned this week, but went a head and sliced it up. 3) The flat was a little less than today. It took quite a bit longer than the flat more so than normal. And at the end the temp spiked really quick. Also the... flat was really flat! It was a very skinny piece of meat today. Anyone ever see such a flat flat before? Besides that dinner was great. Whipped up some mashed potatoes in the instapot and cooked up some green beans. Used the brisket drippings to make a little gravy. Some left over Pizza dough and need something to do, make some pretzels! First time making them. Not how I thought they would look but they do taste like pretzels. Also threw together a cheese sauce from scratch and then some spicy brown mustard. Now hoping the @packers can bring home the win

Friday Night Pizza!!!! Well another Friday night here so another excuse to get out the @greenmountaingrills pizza oven to make a couple of pizzas. Tonight we did a couple of cheese burger pizzas. The first one was done "Animal Style". Started off with a fry sauce base. Put a little mozzarella, hamburger crumbles, colby jack cheese, pickles, and bagel seasoning. After I pulled it out of the oven I topped it with chopped lettuce and tomatoes and them more of the fry ...sauce. The second one was a BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger. Started with a BBQ sauce base, then used the same toppings as the other pizza and also added bacon crumbles. After it cooked I put the lettuce and tomatoes and them drizzled some more BBQ sauce. These pizzas were amazing. If you have a @greenmountaingrills grill and you don't have the pizza oven, do your self a favor and get it. #food #beard #bbq #meat #grill #brew #outdoorcooking #indoorcooking #griddle
