The first review of applications will begin 11-4-2020 The School Resource Officer is assigned to work within the Mountain Grove R-III School District during the school year and have regular patrol responsibilities when school is not in session. Applicants must be Missouri Police Officer Licensed or be eligible to obtain a Missouri Police Officer License at the time of hire; possess good character; good driving record; no criminal record; must submit to a drug/alcohol screening and physical agility test. Position also requires excellent work ethic; must be a team player and work well with the public and children. While D.A.R.E. certification and experience with the D.A.R.E. program is desired, the Mountain Grove School District will incur all costs associated with the successful candidate obtaining D.A.R.E. certification upon being hired. Base wage is $15.17 hourly ($31,553.60 annually). Additionally, the City of Mountain Grove offers an excellent benefits package which includes Health Insurance options, uniform allowance, as well as retirement through LAGERS.
