Columbia College Philosophy Club

Philosophy Club members facilitated the annual brown bag lunch discussion for Women's History Month yesterday in Dorsey Gym. President Rachel Thudium, Vice President Tim Virgil, members Anthony John, Ezra Lim, Jade John, and alumni Luke Offield and Lisa Kinser were among those students who joined CC faculty and staff members to discuss the nature of gender identity.

Philosophers, assemble! The first discussion meeting of the spring term is happening tomorrow (Tuesday, Jan. 19th) at 11 am in the AHSC Nook. It doesn't matter how near or far your orbit may have strayed last semester, or if you've never visited the group before... c'mon by and excite your brains!

The 4th Annual Columbia College Undergraduate Philosophy Conference is in 10 days!

So, Fall quickly approaches and this means the annual Fall gathering at Cooper's Landing is close at hand. Is there a tentative date in play?

The Philosophy Club has made a contribution to elementary school teacher Kathi Frey's donorschoose.org project, "A 'Storybook Beginning' to Math, Science and Social Studies," benefiting 25 students at Garfield Elementary School in Kansas City, Mo.
