ASCC member Tom Ralston Concrete, Santa Cruz, CA, installed this pool deck on a hillside 25-ft below the front of the residence in Saratoga, CA. The installation also included the home’s entrance, patio and driveway. The integral color, which includes white cement and is called Ralston Limestone, was a special order from another member, Solomon Colors. 100 yds. were delivered in bags. The majority of the concrete received a sand washed finish. The architect is Kakuchi and Kankel Design Group and the gc was Mehus Construction.
Concrete Polishing Council (CPC) Tradesman Certification Manual now available directly through the ASCC Bookstore. Designed to help polishers prepare for the certification exam, this book provides an excellent overview of the polished concrete industry and what it takes to produce successful floors. A field crew for ASCC member Hyde Products, Pasadena, MD, cleans up after applying a broadcast coat of chip flooring at the new Catalent pharmaceutical building in Baltimore, MD. Scope of work was 60K SF of urethane cement with broadcast chip flooring. Notice Hyde Concrete has made the transition from hardhats to the much safer helmets.
