Shop will be closed this week due to COVID over here!!!! Hopefully back to normal next week! Looking to be back by Jan. 11th!

Due to customer demand and current COVID scenario, I am going to be open tomorrow, Thursday through Saturday regular hours, for walk-ins. I will start taking appointments NOW until filled for Monday 11/23 and Tuesday 11/24, then open for walk-ins again next Wednesday. Times available are every 20 minutes starting at 6:20 in the morning and going as late as needed! I will be filling appointments by phone only, so either call or text me to get a spot locked in! I WILL NOT B...E USING FACEBOOK FOR BOOKING APPOINTMENTS! Also my phone number is changing to 573-933-5515 sometime soon (completely out of my control and NOT happy). So if you can’t get ahold of me with the old number try that new one. I will be available easily for the rest of the day and night! Nate Diaz is the GOAT of MMA!!!! Khabib, Poirer, Gathje, AND Conner...none of em Mixed Martial Artists!!!! Nate is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu BLACK BELT!!! He beat Conner worse(& half the time) than Money Mayweather....TWICE!!!! Conner couldn’t out box him and was forced to shoot on a black belt to keep from getting knocked out twice!!! Can’t knock out or submit Nate! Very hard to beat someone that technical at wrestling, striking, and defense on a scorecard!!! Go back and watch that 2nd with Conner, you know that last takedown broke the draw and Nate controlled the ring and won by that takedown at the very least. Judges had to give fight to Conner or it would have broke the UFC cuz (again) Dana riding the wrong fighters dk!!!! Dana plays with bettors $ like he plays with fighters $!!!!!!

Got my Covid Tests back and both came back negative! Will be back open regular hours this week for walk-ins again! I will be wearing a mask and face shield so you do not have to worry about one unless you choose. Please come in freshly bathed with no sneezing or coughing. Respect other people’s personal space and personal choice and only those getting haircuts come in as space is limited and current cleaning conditions demand it. Thanks!!!

Back to full capacity and walk-ins!!! I finally had a conversation with the State Barber Board office (they finally came back to work) last Friday afternoon and they have confirmed that due to Barber Shops adhering to CDC guidelines and being Governed by the State, I can ignore anymore ridiculous Boone County Recommendations and Guidelines! BUSINESS AS USUAL!!!!! FINALLY!!! Summer Hours are in effect 8am-6pm Tuesday-Friday and 7-1 Saturday

Thanks everybody that played in the UZI raffle!!! Mr. Tom Schallert was the lucky guy this morning!!! Raised $750 for the Cory Lee Cox Memorial Scholarship. Now I am gonna go get one of those short shotties and we will do it again!

Only 8 tickets left for the UZI raffle for the Cory Lee Cox Memorial Scholarship! Should be pulling the winner in the next day or two! Only 50 tickets total will be sold. Good luck to everybody and to the winner....don’t be a Menace to Society!

Cox’s is closing for the next two weeks. Barber shops and Salons are about as in your personal space as it gets and we have more strenuous rules and regulations for public health than Restaurants. This is going to financially hurt everyone, no matter what! So therefore, in good conscience, I cannot be so greedy to ask my people to come out into harms way, and out of their home to help spread this invisible killer! Please people, stay put! I am doing this because I am sin...cerely concerned about the well being of my clientele! Also my clientele come from all over Missouri and therefore I am concerned about my hometown and do not want to contribute to spreading this here there and everywhere! If hospitals have canceled elective procedures shouldn’t you cancel your hair appointment!?!? Watch the signs, be safe and load all clips!!!! I will see you on the other side of this!!!!! See more

From now until 4/6/20 shop will be taking appointments for cuts in order to do my part to maintain a safe work environment for my clients and myself as well as a safe living circumstance for my family as both these worlds are the same for us. Appointments will be set for every 30 minutes, during regular business hours, unless more than one haircut from the same household is scheduled. Please, only the patron or patrons getting cuts come inside! Please please, be FRESHLY bathed when you arrive, RESPECT that my family lives here!!! Sorry for any inconvenience but this way I can still provide my services to everyone as well as maintain safe and sterile public and personal spaces, and ensure that I am not putting the public or family that I love so much in jeopardy!

Changes are coming to Cox’s!!! Selestia and Sagebrush are headed towards the next phase of growth and adventure, and Tristan is gonna take some time off to decide what the next adventure in life should be for him!!! So...the airplane chair is touching back down starting TODAY! Also I am looking for 2-4 Stylist, Beauticians, Barbers, Massage Therapist, Nail Techs, and maybe even a Tattoo artist. Will be ready to move some talent in the middle of March!!!
