Cuba City Parks & Municipal Pool

Happy Tuesday! Wanted to let you know that the City Parks in Cuba Mo will start to open back up today. Please enjoy the parks but remember, take good care of them. If you see something, say something. We do have lots of great plans and updates coming to the pool & parks. Watch for them!... The pool will remain closed for the season so we can do some much needed maintenance and upgrades! Stay tuned for those! Have a great summer and be careful.

It was with very heavy hearts and lots of emotions that we are announcing the closure of the City Pool as well as our Baseball season for this year. As you may or may not know both the pool operations as well as the ball program just does not happen over night. There are several things that have to happen prior to as well as all the prep work that goes into them before the seasons even start. As you are aware we are still under the Governor’s orders and we based or decision...s off of his recommendations. The Cuba City Council met 5/5/20 and accepted the recommendation of the park board that both be cancelled for this season as we are right in the heart of both. While this has been a very difficult decision, the council members and park board members have the best interest, health and safety of our children and community members as our highest priority. However, we are looking to do some very much needed maintenance, updates, and overall betterment of our pool while closed as these can not happen when we are open for regular season. We are also hoping that once some of the limitations are lifted we can hold some special events for our amazing community in the parks. Please know that this was a very difficult decision but there were so many factors that played into both the pool and ball program closure for this year, we felt it was best. We do ask that rather you agree or disagree with this difficult decision, please remain kind, respectful and supportive. Not an easy task. We are so much stronger together. Hood Park is the only park that will remain open for walking and fresh air. However, the bathrooms will be closed as well as the playground equipment. Tangle Creek Park is closed along with basketball courts, Patti Playground is closed and the Sports Complex is closed until further notice for the safety of our citizens.
