Parents and Children of FUMC, For those that don't know me, I'd like to formally introduce myself. My name is Alicia Davis, and I was born in Poplar Bluff, MO but I grew up in Piedmont, MO my entire childhood life. We went to a small Baptist church every Sunday like clockwork. Upon graduation I attended a college where I met the love of my life, best friend and husband, Ryan Davis. We have been married almost 18 yrs. and have 2 wonderful kids- Serena, age 16 and Camden, age ...14. In order to better know me, I've listed some of my all time "favorites". I love sweet things, and my most favorite dessert is strawberry cupcakes. My favorite ministry memory is chaperoning the ski trips with the youth group many moons ago. The bonds we were able to create with those kids were so priceless, and a gem I hang on to all these years later. I also thoroughly enjoy all of our serving projects we have done over the years. In 2021, I am looking forward to new and innovative ways to reach others in our community. Favorite verse: Through Christ I can do all Things. Philippians 4:13 If I don't already know you, I can't wait to meet you!! If I have had the privilege of making your acquaintance, I look forward to getting to know you each a little better. Please let me know how I can help your child grow in their faith, as that is my overall goal: To lay the foundation for our children to build their life in Christ. I can't do it alone though! We have many new (and old) traditions starting, and we hope you'll join us on the road. Sincerely, Alicia Davis- Children's Leader

Laurie Dunivan has been faithfully serving the First United Methodist Church of Poplar Bluff for many years and is currently utilizing her talents in children's church on Sunday mornings. Originally from Nashville, TN, she landed in Poplar Bluff many years ago and remained due to family. She's been married 22 years and they have two beautiful children. In 2021, BOTH of her grandson's will be wedded in May!! Talk about BIG commitment and goals!! Laurie does a fantastic job wi...th our K-3 children on Sunday mornings. She is always prepared with games, snacks and knowledge- and is ready to pivot on a moment's notice as change is a thing we saw a lot of last year. We see her true passion shine when she tells stories of characters in the Bible and what God has done in her life. Her favorite dessert is anything with sugar, and as a ministry team, we think that sugar seeps out onto all of her children as she warmly welcomes them into her classroom. We are all pretty "sweet" on Mrs. Laurie, and are so thankful for her years of servant leadership for upcoming generations. THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO!! See more

SUNDAY CHURCH will resume THIS WEEKEND 11/29!! Nursery and children's church will be provided, and all staff will be in masks. ALSO- as a new policy within our church building, if your child is in 4th grade or above, they will be required to wear a mask as well. We do have extra available at the church if you do not have any at home. This is no longer an option, but a new policy.

Today @ church we had a WONDERFUL lesson on the Armor of God, and we focused on his belt of truth. (No matter how small something may be there is a reason and purpose in God's plan.) We also enjoyed the BEAUTIFUL weather outside that we are blessed with today! #GodSquad #FUMCkids
