The mother of one beautiful daughter, DeEtta Jones is an LPN with a degree in Human Development. She is AFEP and Chair Yoga certified. DeEtta started her fitness journey in search of ways to control her own health issues. As she began working with Seniors, she saw the amazing benefits it had on their physical, emotional, and social well-being. She loves that you are never too old to exercise! DeEtta will be offering a preview of Chair Yoga on Saturday at 10:45 am followed by a sneak peak at her new Arthritic Fit class at 11:30 am. Everyone is invited!

Kim Walter’s passion for fitness grew after the birth of her triplet girls in 2015. Trying to juggle her then 3 year old son and the girls, exercise was her way to keep up with the kids and relieve stress. Kim is a certified cycle instructor teaching twice a week. She’s also taught various fitness classes at the YMCA since 2018. Find the fitness class that will spark your love of exercise during our Fitness Launch this Saturday. Classes will be held throughout the day beginning at 7:45 am. There will also be snacks and door prizes, and it’s all free for everyone. See you there!

Cory Corbin was born and raised in Chillicothe. He joined the Y over 20 years ago because the Y had so many programs and services for people of all ages. Cory and his wife, Whitney, have 3 children, and Cory enjoys coaching them in basketball and watching them learn the importance of staying active. And like their dad, who comes to the Y almost every day, they have stayed active. They’ve been in basketball, t-ball, coach pitch, flag and tackle football, dance, and gymnastics. When he’s not at the Y, Cory enjoys building and racing Mud Trucks, a hobby he started as a teenager. His current truck is called The Hurricane.

Our Welcome Center Staff greet and engage everyone who comes to the Y. They serve as the face and voice of the YMCA as they answer the phone and meet with members and guests visiting the facility. They provide accurate information about Y memberships, programs, and causes; and process registrations and other YMCA transactions using the Y’s online operating system. Everyone at the Welcome Center must be able to work alongside our directors and other staff members to meet the unique challenges of a non-profit community service organization. Qualified applicants should complete an employment application and return it to Fontella Mosier at the Y or by email at [email protected]. Applications are available at the YMCA. They can also be downloaded at https://www.grandriverymca.org/work.
