A frequent question I get asked is, who is Papa Louie? He’s my grandpa, Anton Louis Ptacek, and today would’ve been his 100th birthday. Happy birthday Papa Louie!

New beer on draft from our own one barrel brewery. Jal Jeera Wit, a spicy Indian lemonade inspired ginger and citrus wit. This subtly spiced brew features ginger, citrus, and rosebud with some subtle Jal Jeera spice. Our brewer - Kalim’s - Indian heritage inspired this special brew. #westportkc #lokcal

B E E R A L E R T Let’s wax poetic about Noble Steed, a brew so tasty we added a little something extra. Aged in whiskey barrels and clocking in at 9.5%, this Belgian strong ale is definitely worth the extra effort. Available now in bottles to-go or on draft to enjoy here!

This week we lost a member of our Green Room family. Nick started working for us when the Royals won the World Series! We’ve been lucky to have a few people stick with us over the years (not too common in the restaurant industry) and Nick was one. He would usually hang out at the bar after his shift was over, helping out if needed and just chilling. He was generous, kind, reliable, and trustworthy. Plus he was a great cook! ... The loss is huge, and we will miss him dearly. We love you, Nick! Rest In Peace, my friend.
