Have you heard about our Scrappy Meal program? It started back in March.. when our friends started losing their jobs, businesses were closing.. dark, scary tim...es. My crew was inspired by acts of kindness in our community and we saw an opportunity to share our food with folks in need. When we trim our Ravioli, we create "pasta scraps." The scraps are irregular shapes. They are truly delicious, like pasta silk. We started saving all of our scraps. Now we cook em, toss the scraps in our special Tomato Sauce and build these frozen dinners. We call em "Scrappy Meals." Since the beginning of the pandemic, we've been pumping these out. They are free to anyone who is going through an especially tough time. At first, they were free to anyone who lost their job due to the pandemic.. but we quickly realized that was too limiting. We don't ask questions. If you need a meal, or if your friend needs a meal, send us a message, we'll get it to you asap.

Today is the day that New Horizons UMC located in the El Chaparral neighborhood in east Columbia is hosting the mobile food pantry. If you are running low on food supplies, please stop by from 4-6 p.m.

Governor Parson signed Senate Bill 631 into law on June 4, 2020, which authorizes mail-in ballots for the November 3, 2020 general election to avoid the risk of contracting or transmitting severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (COVID-19). Registered Missouri voters can request mail-in ballots from their local election authority in person or by mail. You must apply by Oct. 21 to do this!
