Here's a great opportunity to have some fun and support our Seniors!
Mrs. Lawrence's Physics class made a Rube Goldberg machine. How awesome is this??? Science is cool.
Senior Daniela Richardson will be representing Hollister FBLA at the National Leadership Conference!! She took 1st place in her event - Electronic Career Portfolio!!! We're so proud of you, Daniela!
Jazmine Espino was 1 of 16 area students chosen to participate in the GLADE summer class! GLADE is a week long workshop in June for students passionate about conservation. MSU hosts students at the Bull Shoals Field Station where they study Ozark ecosystems. 30 applicants applied and wrote essays. Congratulations Jazmine! We are proud of you!
On Sunday April 11th Ryland franks and Garrett Snyder a pair of the Hollister fishing team placed 9th out of 257 boats in the NYFA bass tournament. Placing 9th earned these young men a $400 scholarship and $200 to the high school team account. I am very proud of these two young men, they fished hard all day and listened to the advice and tips I gave them throughout the day. This is only the third tournament the Hollister Fishing team has been apart of and to have a top 10 finish this early is awesome!! I am also very proud of the other Hollister tigers who fished, Ronny Daniels, Layne Bruck, Cody Johnson, Kelby Guard, Ryder Adams, Kaleb Cox, Clay Kemp, and Karston Olsen.
Mr. White added some smiling faces to the ACT college ready trophy case! We are so proud of these Tigers!
Ms Wallace's freshmen testing what affects the energy of a pendulum lab. Now that's student engagement!
We're so proud of you, Seth!
Ms. Katy Mueller taught her classes about blood types today! Did you know that O- is the universal blood type that can be given to most donors? HHS is having a blood drive on January 21! Your donation could save up to three lives. Pictured with Ms. Mueller is senior Kerrstin Haberman who was accepted to Drury University today!
Vote for our boys!
We couldn't be more proud of these Tigers!
HHS is proud of our seniors Layton Morgan and Landon Richards who BOTH signed today. Best of luck to both of you! Check them out!
Chemistry students measured how far a sneeze can travel! They discovered that an uncovered sneeze can cause infection up to 6 feet away. They also tested the bathroom foam soap to see how effective it was at killing bacteria. It was much better than hand sanitizer. Their conclusion; cover your sneeze and wash your hands! https://youtu.be/dTpLzkB_V78
