Call for community helpers Saturday May 1 9am-12pm at 2711 Troost ... A word from our friend and collaborator, Daniel Robinson: We’re doing it again. Last year we put a garden at 27th and Prospect. This year we’re putting a garden at 27th and Troost. We’ve teamed up with humans at @inner_space_is_the_place along with the @Pilgrimlabyrinth and @MissouriOrganic to add a garden between Inner Space and @amethystplace in the parking lot. @atak_pa has been working diligently on clearing and cleaning the bed for us to be able to successfully plant in, but we could use a few extra hands for final push. Join us May 1st from 9am to 12pm as we lay down compost, direct seed and transplant plants. Thank you!!! This garden is for the community to access and we hope it to be planted densely with flowers, produce, herbs and perennials. If you would like to be involved, you can contribute through effort or materials. We will be moving 10 cubic yards of soil on May 1 and use extra hands, shovels, buckets and wheel barrels for the day.

Participants will lie on the floor for most of the experience but there may be some light stretching and qigong, so dress comfortably. Please see special instructions for what to bring. **This event has been modified to promote a safe and healthy environment during the pandemic. We will offer this experience to a much smaller group. Participants will be spaced 6 feet and must wear a mask during the event. We will no longer provide mats, blankets and pillows for the time being, so bring your own setup for your comfort as you will lie on the floor for about an hour. Suggested setup - yoga mat, blanket, pillow for head, bolster for under knees (optional), eye pillow (optional) Practice social distancing when arriving to and leaving the event.
