SOCIAL RHYTHM CLASS! Just Dancing offers a new set of social/bronze-level group classes for rhythm and club dancing, continuing this coming Wednesday, April 21, at 7 p.m. with instructor Maysen Wilder. Students can reserve a spot at www.justdancingstudio.com/classes. (Proper health protocols will include the requirement to wear masks, appropriate social distancing, and registering in advance.)

CURTAIN CALL! One week ago Just Dancing Studio conducted its inaugural "Back to the Show" showcase... one we hope to repeat year after year! We'll have another selection of performance pictures to share soon. For tonight, we have a photo of the 18 performers delivering their "curtain call" last Saturday evening. ONE WEEK FROM TONIGHT! Join Just Dancing on a week from today, Saturday, April 24, for "Sock it to Me 70's," an evening practice party designed for newcomers and bronze-level students to hone social aspects of their dancing. The event runs from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are $12 and must be purchased in advance on the studio's website: https://justdancingstudio.com/event-tickets/. Attendance is limited to 50 people. The studio will continue to adhere to CDC health guidelines as they stand on the day of the party. We’ll observe COVID protocols, which will also include contact tracing, social distancing and face coverings unless, between now and then, those health standards are revised.

IEVA PAUKSENA MASTER CLASS! Visiting elite ballroom dancing coach Ieva Pauksena offers up to 20 Just Dancing students a master class at 7 p.m. this Friday, April 16. Cost is $20 per student. A World and Blackpool professional Ballroom championship finalist, Paukseva is coaching this Friday, April 16, and Saturday, April 17. A world-class adjudicator for the WDC and NDCA as well as a highly sought-after choreographer, Ieva founder of eDanceMarket.com has flown around the w...orld to train some of the globe's top couples. She began dancing in Latvia and danced successfully on both the amateur and professional International Standard circuits. ELITE COACHING! Marianne Nicole will visit Just Dancing | Studio St. Louis to offer students two days of coaching opportunities on Tuesday, Feb. 2, and Wednesday, Feb. 3. A world-class coach, instructor, and adjudicator, Marianne is a former champion in three styles of competitive dancing. She also is a national examiner for the DVIDA organization. Students interested in booking a session should discuss the opportunity with their teachers and sign up on the info door at studio reception.

FREE ON THE FLOOR! Practice is good, and we want our students to do it! So at Just Dancing Studio, practice time on the floor is always free to students. It's a good idea to call ahead and make sure space is available, but we definitely want to see you doing those rumba walks! #PracticeMakesPerfect

SNOW BALL ONLINE Just Dancing student Natalie and her teacher Steve join more than 250 other competitors this weekend for The Snow Ball DanceSport Competition's online tournament. Their pro/am dancing will stream from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. tomorrow, Feb. 8, in Ballroom, and 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, in Smooth. THE MAKING OF A SHOWCASE Audition weekend for Just Dancing’s spring 2021 showcase, Back to the Show, is in the books. Now Just Dancing couples will bring new showdance routines to the first gala event, planned for April 10. With U.S. Dancesport icon Marianne Nicole choreographing the showdances alongside Just Dancing teachers, the show will be amazing.
