Severe weather risk for KC area. Tornado threat seems zero tho. So nothing to truly worry about. Just some wind gusts and a possible hail threat

Sorry I've been a little inactive! College is starting up. Today was the first day of classes at MU and it's great. Glad to be back in face to face. A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for the metro! Everyone in the immediate metro is included. 60 MPH wind gusts are likely as the storm surges east. The heaviest winds are in the blue on the second picture. They are moving east. Downtown KC and places north/east brace yourselves!!

Storms will slowly be moving into the metro within the next few hours. They seem to be on a weakening trend, however a random minimal severe warning for wind can't be ruled out

They got a Severe Thunderstorm Watch out for the KC area. A line of storms are forming out in Kansas and Nebraska, they should continue to get their act together and pose a damaging wind event as it approaches the metro

Outflow boundary moving west through the area. Storms are firing along the boundary, rain is very possible for the immediate metro. Severe weather not expected
