When applying for a REAL ID-compliant driver license or nondriver ID card, you may be required to present additional documents if your current name is different from the name on your identity and date of birth verification document (birth certificate, passport, passport card, etc.). Name changes may be due to marriage, divorce, or court order (which includes adoption or an amended birth certificate). These documents may be needed even if your current name is the name on your most recent driver license or non-driver ID card. These documents must be original, certified documents with a stamp or raised seal. The Drivers License programming is down at this time and we are unable to process drivers licenses, non-driver IDs, permits, or process medical certificates at this time. This is a statewide issue and we will notify you as soon as it is resolved.
