Prayer on the Square tonight at 6 PM in Neosho. Unite with other believers in humble prayer for our nation. (Philippians 4:5-8) "Let your gentle [spirit] be known to all people. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers [and sisters,] whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, think about these things."

(Hebrews 11:1-3) "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible."

While various news outlets are projecting a presidential winner... Let's remember news outlets do not determine the race...there is a process and we have prayer. 2 Timothy 1:7 For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control."... No matter who wins...as believers we are called to pray for our leaders. (1 Timothy 2) 1First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, 2for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. 3This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. And if our preferred candidate does not win...we are still called as believers to be good models of Christ and role models that no one can condemn but rather marvel at our walk. (Romans 13:1)Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. 2Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves. 3For rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior, but for evil. Do you want to have no fear of authority? Do what is good and you will have praise from the same; 4for it is a minister of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a minister of God, an avenger who brings wrath on the one who practices evil. 5Therefore it is necessary to be in subjection, not only because of wrath, but also for conscience’ sake. 6For because of this you also pay taxes, for rulers are servants of God, devoting themselves to this very thing. 7Render to all what is due them: tax to whom tax is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor.

This is what believers do... to share the burden of grief with others and extend our prayers on their behalf. From the Monett R-1 Schools: The Monett community is invited to attend a public memorial service honoring Mr. Russ Moreland's life on Saturday, November 7, 2020, at 11 a.m. at the Burl Fowler Stadium/Monett football field. ... In addition to the public memorial, Mr. Moreland’s family will hold a private service at a later date and cards may be sent to Buchanan Funeral Home in Monett. The family has established the Russ Moreland Memorial Fund to benefit future education needs. In lieu of flowers, donations to the fund may be made at http://cfozarks.org/moreland. Mr. Moreland loved his job and always strived to ensure everyone's opinions were heard. In the most challenging times, he put students, staff, and the community first. He inspired us to be better, led with his heart, and made sure we knew how proud he was to work with us. He inspired students to follow their dreams and reach their maximum potential in life. He was always present, and now his absence is deeply felt. Mr. Moreland was full of ideas to make school fun. He sang for us, made music videos, and introduced Moose into our life. We were eager to have a snow day because we knew we would hear a snow day jingle at 5:30 am, followed by a Moose social media post. He has forever touched our hearts in our school district and our united community. We will remember him as a caring, humble, and loving leader. You may leave a message of condolence at the funeral home web page: https://www.buchananfuneralhomemonett.com/gue/russ-moreland

With a little over a week to go before Operation Christmas Child National Collection Week is upon us, November 16-23, 2020, KNEO urges their listeners to share this wonderful opportunity to send joy in a shoebox to a needy child this year. This year has been tough for us here in this nation of plenty but for children in third world countries... it has been much worse. Our Lord clearly demonstrated His love for children and revealed the simple truth of how much an act of lov...e can touch the life of a child for eternity. Please join us in spreading joy and hope to a child who needs to know that someone loves them because Christ first love them.... [Mar 9:37 NKJV] 37 "Whoever receives one of these little children in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me, receives not Me but Him who sent Me."
