If anyone knows of any used LARGE refrigerators and upright freezers (and commercial ones would be wonderful), please let us know. We are needing some in order to set up our healthy food pantry. We are a 501c3, so we would be able to give a tax receipt for any donations. We are needing around 4 of each of the larger home refrigerators and freezers. WE ARE ALWAYS HERE FOR YOU! That is OUR MISSION. We know that COVID has been difficult on everyone. Many have lost their jobs and our homeless/impoverished population has increased substantially; so are unable to afford medical care. This simply is not right. The need for our services has almost tripled. WE ARE HERE FOR YOU!!... SCHEDULE for FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30 If you need medical care: our doctors will care for you for FREE this Friday, October 30 from 9 - 2 (possibly later). If you need a visit, please go to our website at www.liftupspringfield.org and make an appointment. You are welcome to walk-in, we will just work you in, in between our scheduled appointments. (If you are working and are not homeless or impoverished: we will always be happy to help you: we just ask for a small donation so that we are able to help to continue to help those that are unable to get help and to help pay some of our overhead). We do NOT turn anyone away. If you need basic office procedures; we are doing these for FREE this Friday, October 30. Please make an appointment through out website. PAP's, ingrown toenails, abscesses, skin tags, nexplanon removals: (We will do these on a first come basis). (Labs: We only charge our cost: most labs are under $10). (Please note: we do NOT prescribe narcotics). If you are needing refills on your regular meds: please bring those meds/bottles with you. DENTAL: Dental, as always is only available when we have a dentist. If you are needing dental care, please email through our website and we will get you on a waiting list. MENTAL HEALTH: We are doing all mental health visits (we work with Burrell) via telemedicine from the clinic. If you are needing a mental health visit, just make an appointment through out website. You will be able to visit with our counselor at the clinic during that time from our clinic. This service is always FREE. We are always here for you: we understand that these are difficult times and there is a tremendous amount of depression and anxiety. Do NOT suffer alone! Let us help you! WHAT A FABULOUS DAY HEROES DAY WAS!! Our 1st LIFT UP OUR HEROES DAY was perfect! We had a great turnout and were honored to have a number of our state legislatures and local government officials come out to support us! Greene County Commissioner, Bob Dixon, Representative Lynn Morris, Representative Curtis Trent and Representative Elect, Tricia Derges. Mr. Bob Mondy (Ozark Jubilee) honored us with "God Bless America" and Dan Derges (Mid Missouri Bank) gave the invocation. ... We honored our own hometown HEROES: our Veterans, First Responders and Frontline workers. We provided medical and dental visits for anyone that needed them. We all enjoyed a great cookout, by Chef David. We were also blessed to have an all time record number of dentist and doctors volunteer in one day! We had so many amazing volunteers! These are truly selfless people - making a difference in the lives of others! We are also grateful to KOLR, Channel 10 for covering this important event! We are already excited for next years "HEROES DAY": Lift Up Our Heroes! It will be even bigger! We also had an exciting announcement to make on this special day! As most of you know, Lift Up was opened because we found a niche of people that had been forgotten. These people were unable to get medical or dental care because they were unable to qualify for; so were turned away, leaving them in pain and continued declining health. We will help anyone that comes to us. Almost 5 years later, we have helped over 25,000 people in SW Missouri get out of pain and improve their health. Now we have identified another niche in these forgotten patients: they are unable to eat healthy. So we are creating "Lift Up Healthy Pantry" the first healthy food pantry for those in need that suffer from chronic diseases in SW Missouri. Our freeze drying process allows almost any food product (veggies, meats, fruits, dairy) to retain their nutrition and taste, just as if they were fresh. Not only will it help make the health of these people suffering with these diseases better, but it will also provide jobs for them! We are also looking for a new home to help with this expansion. If you know of a building that is at least 3000+ sq ft that would be inexpensive, please let us know. REMEMBER: This Friday is our CELEBRATION of Veterans, First Responders and Frontline Workers Day to come in for a free medical visit or dental visit (one extraction or one filling) from 9 - 1 (we may have more dentist after 1:00, so be sure and come by. Our doctors will be there through the afternoon. (September 18). Our mission clinic APPRECIATES all of these great people: what they have done and what they do. ANYONE is welcome to come and join us for our celebration day... COOKOUT LUNCH from 11 - 1!!! We will be cooking out and would love to have you come by. We also will be announcing an AMAZING PROJECT that we have been working on for some time. We are excited to finally get this started! So come by at 12:00 noon for that announcement! Not only will be another wonderful service to help improve the health of those in need but will provide jobs for those that struggle to find work because of their health or other difficult circumstances! It is a great project that will involve our entire community! If you would like to volunteer: we would really LOVE to have a couple more dentist for Friday afternoon from 1 - 4.
