Little Bit of Haven

Day 2, can’t thank them enough!

Thank you to this amazingly wonderful volunteer group that traveled many long hours to come serve with us this week. They are making repairs in the house and working on the garden. We can’t thank you enough!

Waiting for guests to arrive from Honduras last night so we can welcome them. Happy Easter!

This little bag of candy may not seem like much but it is the embodiment of what this is all about. Tonight after being on a business trip and trying to get everything caught up from while I was gone, I finally made it to Little Bit of Haven. I was greeted with a full house. We have several returning guests that are going through some really tough stuff. When I sat down at the desk a man who stayed with us a year and a half ago, a returning guest brought in bags of Hallowee...n candy. He and his wife made them for everyone at Little Bit of Haven. He even mentioned that there are some for this other guest he and his wife have come to know. It is touching seeing these guests that are all hours away from home, facing long stays that they will struggle to pay are encouraging each other and working together to make this a little bit easier on one another.
