Have you checked your pets paws lately? Routine nail trims help keep your four legged friend feeling healthy! Having too long of nails can alter posture and leave nails growing into paw pads causing infections. Feeling a little anxious about paws being touched? When you call for an appointment let us know and we’ll come up with a plan that’s perfect for your pet!
Is your cat hiding more often, urinating out of the litter box, or have changes in mood? These could all be signs your sweet pet is telling you they are stressed. After a full exam from your favorite veterinarian to rule out any underlying conditions we may recommend small changes you can do in your home to help relieve your pet. Things such as 1 litter box per cat plus one, vertical enrichment, and added play time can ensure you and your cat are living a stress free life!
Maddison Pet Clinic and Sully want to wish you a happy and safe Halloween! Make sure to keep your pets away from the holiday candy. We’d love to see what your pet is wearing this year, comment a picture below!
Fun Fact of the week! Flea eggs incubate best between 65-80 degrees. So don’t let this cold weather fool you into stopping your pets flea prevention. We tend to see more Flea infestations and Flea allergies in the fall than other times of the year. As it starts to get even cooler fleas can harbor in your house and continue their lifecycle hiding on your pet and in the cracks and crevasses of our floors. We have a variety of safe and effective options that are budget friendly and don’t require the greasy oils. Let us make sure those fleas don’t sneak past you this fall and make an appointment today!
Did you know puppies need at least 3 rounds of vaccines every 2-3 weeks before they are protected from harmful diseases like Parvovirus? As the puppy grows, their mothers antibodies (the disease fighting workers) start to decrease. Each time a puppy is vaccinated they start to make their own antibody workers. Without proper vaccination your little furry one could be at risk for these diseases! Thankfully your Madison Pet Clinic team is here to keep your beloved pets safe and answer any questions you may have. Just like this handsome one, Ranger!

As you might expect, we are taking appropriate measures to protect our community. Beginning Thursday March 19th, our lobby will be closed to the public. All patients will be checked in for their appointments directly from their vehicle.... We are still open and seeing both emergency and elective cases. Scheduling of elective appointments/procedures may be altered or uncharacteristically delayed due to changes to our medical processes. We will be asking clients the following screening questions prior to checking in to determine if we need to take any extra precautions. * Have you or your family members exhibited flu-like symptoms including fatigue, aches, fever or cough at any time during the past 14 days? * Have you traveled outside the United States in the past 14 days or to regions within the United States where there are a high number of cases of COVID 19? * Have you tested positive for the COVID-19 virus Accommodations for clients who answer yes to any of these questions will be made. However, these clients and their pets will not be permitted to enter the facility under any circumstance. We will be limiting both number and length of time that clients can visit hospitalized patients. In addition, please call in advance to have medications filled so that we can have them prepared for you. During these evolving times, we will continue to keep you updated as we proudly continue to service our community. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call.
