Today, the City of St. Louis Board of Aldermen Legislation Committee released the third draft of a proposed new map of the City of St. Louis districts. You can ...view the interactive map and make comments here: www.stlouis-mo.gov/aldermen/redistricting In the third draft map, each ward has become more compact, specifically all of the wards north of highway 40. There are now three majority African-American wards that cross Delmar. Following community input, this map shows approximately 80 percent of neighborhoods have been kept intact and in one ward. The remaining 20 percent are in no more than two wards. As with the second version, all of the wards are now within the legal population deviation. There are seven African-American majority population wards and seven White majority population wards. There are two more opportunities for members of the public to testify before the committee by Zoom on this proposed map, Saturday, Nov. 13 at 10 a.m. and Monday, Nov. 15 at 6 p.m. Learn more and how to sign up here: www.stlouis-mo.gov/aldermen/redistricting
