We've made a lot of progress since this time last year. But, we still need to protect vulnerable Missourians and the staff that care for them. Until your hospital signals all-clear, plan on wearing your mask when visiting a hospital.
Despite the pandemic, Missourians still needed emergency care for strokes and heart attacks, had broken bones that needed to be treated, gave birth, and needed preventive and routine care. #MoHospitals treated 734,000 INPATIENTS last year. This #HospitalWeek, thank a hospital hero for caring for Missouri patients! #MyHospital
Hospitals strengthen their communities and the state. This #HospitalWeek, join Columbia Mayor Brian Treece and recognize your local hospital!
Missouri hospitals' impact goes far beyond the bedside. In 2019, #MoHospitals provided $3.5 BILLION statewide in community benefit. Total community benefit includes charity care, absorbing bad debt and the unpaid costs of treating beneficiaries of Medicare and Medicaid, helping educate and train the health care workforce, offering free clinic services, and donating to local causes. Tag your local hospital to thank them for all they do for your community! #HospitalWeek #MyHospital
#MoHospitals workers are our friends, neighbors and family members. They are also the heroes who have been on the frontlines throughout the #COVID19 pandemic, and we owe them a debt of gratitude for their heroic efforts pandemic or no pandemic. Show your appreciation by tagging a health care worker who has made a difference in your life. #HospitalWeek #MyHospital

Now those are some cute #ChiefsKingdom rookies! We hope everyone has a fun and safe Super Bowl weekend GO CHIEFS!
Missouri hospitals have started hosting large-scale vaccination events in their communities. BJC HealthCare, Saint Luke's Health System & Fitzgibbon Hospital are just a few hospitals across the state who have begun facilitating these events in an effort to quickly and efficiently distribute vaccinations to qualifying Missourians. As more vaccine becomes available across the state, more community large-scale vaccination events will be held. Please check your local health care provider's website for events near you.
FACT: The COVID-19 vaccine will not affect fertility. The vaccine replicates only the spike protein of the virus and the body develops immunity. Furthermore, none of the COVID-19 vaccines contain Syncytin-1. Learn more at MOStopsCovid.com/facts
Caregivers across the state chose to get vaccinated against COVID-19 to protect their patients, communities and loved ones. April McNeill-Johnson, MD, pediatric emergency physician at Children's Mercy Kansas City, shares why she chose vaccination. For more information on the COVID-19 vaccine, visit www.MOStopsCOVID.com.
