Mitch Miller of Kohlfeld Distributing delivered $8,500 to our Veterans from the 36th Annual Kow Pasture Klassic. A HUGE thank you to Kohlfeld and Schindler's Tavern New Hamburg, Missouri for organizing this fundraiser for our Veterans each year. These funds go directly to support our Veterans activities. Christmas joy was experienced this year thanks to our Community Partners. Thank you Tracey Haggerty and Christmas for the Elderly, our local Veterans service groups, and Buchheit Logistics for your holiday donations. Because of you and all the other community members who dropped off countless hygiene products, Happy Hour supplies, and Christmas goodies, our Veterans had a fantastic holiday season.

Thank you Wake Foundation for the generous donation of 100 Christmas bags for our Veterans!

Thank you to the members of the Sarah Barton Murphy Chapter DAR, Farmington, Missouri for all the time and effort they put into collecting donations and writing Christmas cards to our Veterans! Thanks to supportive community members like the DAR, all of our Veterans are going to have a very Merry Christmas!

We know Thanksgiving is next week but we are getting into the Christmas spirit! If you would like to donate items to our Veterans this holiday season, below are the items we are most in need of. These are items that we just can't get enough of, literally. We go through a lot of Jack Daniels and Bird Seed! There is a drop box in the front of the building for you to place your donations as we are still self isolating. If you have questions please contact 573-986-4030 or 573-986-4040. Thank you to the Cape Girardeau Noon Lions Club for the wonderful boxed pancake and sausage meals yesterday, our staff greatly appreciated it!

It's been brought to our attention that there is a post circulating Facebook saying we are requesting musical groups to come play for our Veterans. Though this would be fantastic, that is not the case. We are still under quarantine and are not allowing outside visitors or family into the building. We are appreciative of everyone who has reached out and offered to come play, we will keep all of your information and reach out when we can open our doors again. Thank you to all of our community supporters, we couldn't do what we do for our Veterans without you!

We've been blessed the last few weeks with donations for our Veterans. Thanks to our friends at Numotion for choosing our Veterans as one of your service projects for your service week. Our Veterans enjoyed their bag of goodies!

Wednesday's Press Conference Briefing Regarding COVID-19

Meet Bryson MacDonad and his son along with Richard and his wife Bonnie... just two of the families that reconnected in-person today at our Veterans Home in Cam...eron. In our Missouri Veterans Homes, we are in the process of implementing hand holding stations. This interaction follows COVID-19 health precaution measures, but allows for direct contact with loved ones. This type of interaction is especially important with some of our Veterans who struggle with dementia and depression. Teresa and I were glad to thank our Missouri veterans for their service and thank our veterans home staff for taking such great care of these heroes. #MissouriProud

Thanks to a generous donation to our caregiver fund by VFW Post 3838 Auxiliary and our Spirit Committee, we were able to thank Staff for their hard work with a delicious meal from Hamburger Express. Thank you to all our community sponsors for everything you do for our Veterans and Staff.
