On 10/30/2020, in celebration of the APhA - American Pharmacists Association American Pharmacists Month, student pharmacists from the National Community Pharmacists Association, Missouri Pharmacy Association, and the APhA-ASP - American Pharmacists Association Academy of Student Pharmacists chapters at St. Louis College of Pharmacy at University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis worked with pharmacists across the country to create a music video to encourage people ...to vote and form relationships with their legislators to create positive change. A constant issue of debate is healthcare reform and the costs of drugs. This video highlights some of the topics involved in the complex pricing system of medications as of 2020. On 9/25/2020, pharmacist/owner of the Medicine Shoppe, Pevely, Jason Wang, received the Missouri Pharmacy Association Distinguished Young Pharmacist Award during the first-ever virtual Missouri Pharmacy Association and Illinois Pharmacists Association (IPhA) Annual Conference. Jason Wang (Medicine Shoppe, Pevely and Affton Medicine Shoppe), Jennifer Carroll (The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy - Lake St Louis), and Jerry Callahan (Elsberry Pharmacy, Medicine Shoppe, Pevely, Affton Medicine Shoppe, The Medicine Shoppe - Montgomery City, and The Medicine Shoppe - Pacific, MO) have all taken part in clinical trials to find a vaccine for ...COVID 19. On 2/18/2020, pharmacist/owner of Medicine Shoppe, Pevely and secretary of the Pevely Lions Club, Jason Wang, and student pharmacists from St. Louis College of Pharmacy, Rachel Marchi (Kappa Epsilon - Alpha Omicron Chapter) and Paige Lemasters (student ambassador of Script Your Future - St. Louis College of Pharmacy, a chapter of Script Your Future of the National Consumers League), campaigned for medication adherence to patients.
