Transcendence Coaching & Reiki

In Reiki, we use a variety of symbols in our work. A lot of potential clients ask "What is Reiki?" My go to explanation is that it's a form of energy work that assists with healing, stress relief, emotional/physical pain relief, etc. It's deeper than that really. It's a connection and sort of communication with the life force that runs through everything. We even use it with our plants and animals or to clear any unwanted energy from our home. Reiki is often used as a wa...y of clearing our energy centers or Chakras and helping our subtle energy bodies return to a state of balance which can result in relief of a variety of stressors. I have always had more of a scientific mind and prefer facts and evidence-based studies and I find myself wanting to explain the "how" behind Reiki's effectiveness but it can be very challenging. What I do know is that Reiki has had a profound impact on my life and when I was introduced to it through my husband, it supported my spiritual and emotional growth and my health. My WOW moment about it's effectiveness happened years ago when our older dog was hit by a car and had a broken leg. He had a cast on and we were told he would likely need surgery due to the location of the break. He chewed his cast off about a week/week and half earlier than it was scheduled to come off and when we took him to get his leg looked at and re-casted, the vet was surprised it had healed so quickly and he did not need surgery! Feedback or reactions from clients can also be compelling and motivates me to continue practice daily because it's like a healing relationship with the universe for me.
