We will have flu mist (nasal) available until Tuesday, December 15. After that, we will only have injections. Call ASAP to get a time to come in and get your dose of flu protection!

Good morning Fun Farmers! The weather for our event today could have been a tad better, BUT we are still going to make a go of it. Dress warmly! Let’s talk safety in the time of Covid. First and foremost: we will miss you if you are unable to come tonight, but PLEASE do not come if anyone in your family is sick! ... Other guidelines to follow: 1. Fun Farm is huge, so distance yourselves from other families. 2. Use hand sanitizer often! We will have some for you at the entry gate. 3. Wear a mask when you are indoors. We will all exit through a large barn area, so make sure you bring a mask for everyone in your family to wear when inside. Or just keep one on as a face warmer for the whole night! Thank you all for entrusting Redwood with your family’s care. We are grateful to celebrate our birthday with you!

Wednesdays and Thursdays tend to be our least busy days for sick kids... these are great days to schedule a Well Child Check!

Hey guys! Mrs. B here, coming to you as a fellow mom and former pediatric nurse. I want to talk to you about the importance of annual well visits for our adolescent kids. It's so easy to forget about regular visits once our kids reach an age where their immunization schedule slows down and we stop obsessing over where they are on the growth chart. We have certainly been guilty of this as our kids get older and our lives get busier! There are several reasons not to neglect th...ese visits. First, we want to ensure that your child is developing in a healthy way both inside and out. Your child will get a head-to-toe exam to assess their physical health, and we will spend time discussing emotional and mental health as well. We look for signs of anxiety or depression and discuss things like nutrition, healthy exercise habits, and avoiding risky behaviors. Second, we are a reliable source of information to your child in a world where countless voices and messages are bombarding them on a daily basis. We give your child a safe place to ask questions and get truthful responses regarding what they hear from friends and see online. We as parents need to know that there is a good resource for our child when they don't feel comfortable coming to us. Third, we want your adolescent to take responsibility for their health. By developing and maintaining a relationship with their provider, they have a resource and accountability partner to help them grow and develop into the wonderful person they were created to be! Take advantage of the flexibility of this school year to make a wellness appointment for your adolescent. You and your child will not regret it!

Flu clinics times with our nurses are available on the following days: Wednesdays 3-6pm: 10/28, 11/4, 11/18 Thursdays 3-6pm: 10/15, 10/22, 10/29, 11/5, 11/19... We’ve staffed an extra nurse on these days to get you in and out quickly. If these times don’t work for you, please call and talk to our staff to find another time that does work!

Flu Shots are in! Redwood is now taking appointments for flu shot visits. Come in and say hello to one of our fabulous nurses and leave with your 2020 flu protection. It’s a win-win! *Limited doses of flu mist are also available!

Here’s a quick little tutorial on how to get to our expansion space.

Many of you pointed out the fact that we don’t have a whole lot of room for Dr. Burns to see patients in our cozy little office. You couldn’t be more right! Covid temporarily put the brakes on our expansion plans, but we have found an excellent solution to getting more space while we wait for the world to get back to normal. Liberty Hospital has rented 3 rooms to us, right down the hall from our current space! We are excited not only for the extra wiggle room that this gives us, but also because it gives us greater ability to separate well and sick kids in an ideal way. Thank you for growing with us, and for your patience as we strive to provide you with the best possible care for your family!
