Happy Fourth of July weekend! The weather looks great for wine, food, and live music! Yes! We are open! We also have a treat on Sunday the 4th. Along with our regular menu we have Speck Pizza + Street Food. Come on out anytime between 11am and 6:30 pm to give Speck's a try. Everything on the their menu pairs well with wine and tunes. We have not quite reached the official Dog Days of Summer. That is July 3 to August 11. However, by my calendar it is the Lucky Dog Days of Summer. Lucky was the original winery dog and is the namesake of Lucky Dog wine. Saturday we have Bruce Zimmerman 2pm to 6pm. Sunday the Jerry Ford Combo performs from 2pm to 6pm. See you at the winery!... What will you be drinking in the year 2022? We are not sure either, but never fear if it is going to be River Ridge wine we have started working on it already. You see wine making is not a quick process. Prune over winter, grow in the summer, harvest and ferment in the fall, further work with nature to develop a wine over (next) winter, and finally in the following spring or summer we can bottle the young/early release wines while working on the next vintage. For fuller bodie...d red wine add 2 years minimum. What a process! We love it and hope you do too. Keep an eye out for our next "cozy concert" out in the heated pavilion. Now, it is time to warm up with a big glass of red wine and plan when we can go work the vineyards again. Winter may be here, but the music doesn't have to stop. This Saturday (9th) from 3pm - 6pm we will have two very talented musicians, Ivas John and Jason Heeter, playing in our cozy heated pavilion. If you like blues, rock, soul, killer guitar licks with a side of great wine and food this is your chance for a great experience! $5 admission. Please RSVP! Seating is limited. Joy of the River (in wine speak) What is medium-full bodied, supple, smooth, round fruitiness, unfiltered, and is a one-of-kind Missouri wine? You guessed it. "Joie de Rivière" is a new wine just in time for the Holidays. It means joy of the river, and it is a dry red blend of estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot. If you recognize the name it is because it is a call back to wines of the same name made here in the late 90's-early 2000's.
