Looking for a rough estimate of the cost of repainting this part of our shop’s wall after it was vandalized so we can add the damages to the police report. We marked out the actual graffiti, because the sad, irresponsible and ill-educated teenage boys who are trying to make a pathetic mark for themselves and their crappy music don’t deserve to be recognized. Except they are, because we know their names. I’m sure their parents are very proud of how their sons are behaving.. we may be Rogue, but we’re gentleman and ladies more importantly.. do better little boys..

REOPEN UPDATE! Rogue Barber Co. and D's Wax Factory will officially reopen on May 4th as per city allowance! We will continue to heed recommended safety precautions, and will strictly maintain a reduced amount of barbers on the floor, to minimize physical social interaction. We will ask that only those with actual appointments enter the building, and remain in their car until we prompt them via phone call or text message. We will be using even more stringent sanitizing and... disinfecting methods and ask that you be respectful and patient of our new temporary requirements. You can book online through our Facebook page or our website at www.roguebarberco.com. Believe us when we say, we've ALL missed you as much as you've missed Us. As always, "Enter ROGUE... Leave a Gentleman" And from D's "Keep It Smooth" #r_u_rogue #roguebarberco #keepitsmooth See more

Rogue Nation: PLEASE READ THIS! WE WANT YOUR HELP! We may be officially homebound, BUT, we are still working to make it through, and we want the help of our amazing community. We've got a couple of ideas we need your input on. 1) We will be selling gift certificates, product and apparel from our home station. So if you need any product to look awesome at home, DM us and we will contact you.... 2) THIS is the cool part: We will be sending your purchase (thoroughly sanitized and via a glove-packed envelope), with some good-vibe free gifts from us AND an array of incentives/discounts/coupons from other locally owned businesses, so that when we CAN all roam the streets again, we can use these to reinvigorate our community! We will be going live later today at 6pm to give you an example of what this package will look like, and what you can expect to receive when you make a purchase. WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU: If you are a small-or not so small-locally owned business, and want to donate some incentives in our gift packages, email Dacy at [email protected], and she will print them off and include them in each package. We will ONLY be sending out these donated incentives per purchase that's made, so anyone that decides to participate-know there will be no mass give-outs or misuse of your generosity. If you know someone that might not see this that you think would be interested in participating, tag them in this post. Or have them reach out to us with questions! We will be briefly going live every other day to highlight and give a shout out to each of these contributing companies, thank them for their participation, and hopefully help everyone get to know more of our awesome local businesses and business people! We already have some pretty cool downtown participants, including Wine Dive, The Order at Vandivort, Route 66 Car Museum, and Mud House. But ANY business is welcome to contribute! If you decide to participate, you can even draft a specialized coupon/incentive and send it to Dacy's email, so you know those who use them in the future might have found you during this crazy lockdown. This is our community, and we are all in this together. Let's show that love. Let us know what you think, or if you have suggestions! Let's navigate this together!

Hey Awesome Rogue Nation: In light of continuing recommendations, we will remain closed until further notice. We are trying our best to keep everyone informed, and we are trying our best to put priority on the safety of our work family and our clients. We are so sorry for any inconvenience this might cause your head to be not as awesome as usual, but how good are you going to feel getting your first fresh cut and beard trim after surviving a national emergency? Please, ev...eryone, stay safe and take this time to organize your closets..... Pretty sure all of us are going to reboot our local economy with some epic garage sales this spring.... Sending good vibes, Ryan, Dacy and all the Rogue Crew.

Hey Everyone! We have been receiving many messages from frustrated clients receiving confirmation texts confirming their appointments. We absolutely understand your frustrations. We want to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We are DILIGENTLY working with our staff and our software company to remedy this. We are trying our best as a small business to navigate these next, uncertain few weeks. Please try and treat each other with forgiveness and grace as we ALL are in this together.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE: To our valued clients and treasured Rogue employees: Due to the continued unfolding events/ protocols/ suggestions, we are deciding to close the shop until Monday. As small business owners, we know the possible ramifications of this decision. But the safety of our entire Rogue family (and THEIR families) is prompting us to make this choice. We have talked as a team, and come to this decision as a UNITED team. As close person-to-person contact is a main co...ncern-the health and wellness of all of us is more important. We are so sorry for the inconvenience to our clients this week. For those that have appointments, please call the shop to reschedule, or feel free to rebook for next week online as we hope to have more information. PLEASE know this is a hard decision. But our ultimate goal is safety for all of us. Let’s all stay safe for each other, and: As Always...Enter Rogue.. Leave a Gentleman (Safely)

Rogue Barber Co. 02.10.2020

Concerning our valued Clients and Co-Workers: While Rogue Barber Company is continuously following the state-mandated codes of health and safety, under recent concerns we want to reassure our clients that we are implementing extra precautions, as the safety and well-being of everyone that walks in and out of our doors is our utmost priority. *Our coordinators are wiping down all hand-contact surfaces on an increased regular basis throughout the day, including handles, faucet...s, front desk areas, and keyboards. *In addition to always following high safety and hygiene standards, our barbers are sanitizing their chairs after every client, their hands before each client, and have increased the regularity of sanitizing their stations each day. *While their craft is their commodity, our barbers have been instructed to refrain from coming to work if they show any signs of fever or Coronavirus symptoms. *We also ask that if our scheduled clients show any of these symptoms, we kindly ask you to reschedule. The safety and well-being of our clients and our work team is always of paramount priority, so if you have to remain ROGUE a bit longer than usual due to an illness: we promise you’ll be back to Gentleman status in no time. As always (and hopefully sooner than later) Enter ROGUE... Leave a Gentleman.

Thanksgiving may be over, but the season of appreciation remains strong. The best way to remind yourself of things that bless your life is saying them aloud. While we may be typing them rather saying them, we’re going to type our hearts out about our rad Tyler Sharp. This is an origin story that begins behind the desk of another local barbershop that inspired him to go to Academy of Hair Design and graduate in 2016 before moving behind the chair at the same barbershop. Throu...gh time and space, we managed to lure him to the dark side and join Rogue Barber Co. as one of our beloved barber heroes. Tyler’s unique ability to see how to obtain a long-term goal is a key element to his overall craft whether that be the best shape for a growing beard, finding ways to correct a not so ideal haircut from an outside source, or simply working a client towards that new style they’ve always wanted. He is candid about each client’s specific path to achieve the look that gives them the confidence they deserve. Tyler also thrives on the power to talk to anyone. He reminds us daily there is always a way to find common ground with every person you meet and opens the door for conversations that otherwise would not take place. He adaptable and confident which stretches to his clients with each cut but also out to all the Rogue staff. His eye for the future will eventually take him to pursue his aspiration of opening his own barber shop out of state but until then we are blessed to have him on our team. Simply put, he is a guy you are happy to have on your side of the force. If you haven’t had the chance to enjoy a conversation with Tyler Sharp, book an appointment or simple come shake his hand sometime. (Pro Tip: He just got engaged to an amazing woman so don’t forget to shoot him a congratulations!!)

Don't be a Cotton-Headed Ninny Muggin. "No Show" Policy, Holiday Hours, & Bad Weather Notices: Due to the Holiday season rush, Rogue will be enforcing a stricter "Cancellation/No Show" policy to ensure we have the most efficient availability between the dates of Nov 25, 2019 - Jan 4, 2020. We don’t want any of our clients to end up as a Ninny Muggin for the holidays, so we are packing our books as full as 11 cookies crammed in a VCR. For this reason, during this timeframe, c...ancellations must be made within three hours of an appointment or will be marked as a No Show. Any No Show (yes, even if it’s your first) will require prepayment if rescheduling during the holiday season. We love our clients and know you all belong on the Nice List. (But this is a PSA for all those South Pole Elves who forget their appointments after a few too many spicy eggnogs.) Holiday Hours: Closed 11/28, 11/29. Closed 12/24, 12/25, and late start 12/26 @11am. Early Close 12/31/ @ 4p, Closed 01/01 The books are filling fast. Call and PRE-BOOK or risk being an angry elf. Bad Weather Closing: We will do our best to remain open in the event of winter weather, but our priority is the safety of our staff and clients. Exceptions to the 3-hour Cancellation Policy may be made during these times. In the event of an early closure or late start, Rogue will post on Facebook as well as contact the clients on the schedule to the best of our ability. Lastly, don’t forget to stick to the four main food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corns and syrup! Happy Holidays!

As our season of gratitude continues, we invite you to take a step back and find a couple things today that are good. Speaking of good, this week we are highlighting Michaela Morgan Conrad and damn is she good. She originally hails from the world of cosmetology but didn’t let that stop her from pursuing her specific passion for men’s styles and cuts that she has focused on after 5+ years in the field. She joined Rogue in April 2017; since then she has been a force of action ...by obtaining a dual-barber license in 2017 and an instructor license in 2018. She now works full-time with Rogue and part-time training the next generation of barbers through Paul Mitchell The School. As if that wasn’t enough to scream badass, when she isn’t sewing her own clothing, Michaela also volunteers for the State and National Parks Dept. educating the public on traditions and lifestyles from the 1800’s through Civil War Reenactments just as her family has done for generations. During her time at Rogue, we have had the joy of watching her grow from a sweet, witty new girl to the stereotype-slaying Lady Barber of Rogue Barber Co. who is still just as witty. We joked with her when she met the man of dreams on the battlefield, then sat in admiration as she married him and now, we get to see her evolve into motherhood. She brings class unmatched to everyday and reminds us that stereotypes are only good when they are being crushed. We are so grateful to have Michaela on our team. We invite you to come through and promise she will put down the straight razor long enough to shake your hand. Check her out on Instagram @theredlippedbarber and see why you will love her too!

During this season of gratitude, the shop would like to show how grateful we are for our amazing crew. Follow along and join us each week as Rogue highlights one of our incredible team members! Cody Watson, Veteran. Barber. Educator. Badass. Coined as our shop wild card with good reason, Cody’s humor is unique and always impossible to not crack a smile with (even if an eyeroll quickly follows). While we never know what joke is coming next, we know that we can always expect p...henomenal dedication to his craft. After his time in the Army, he joined barber school at the Academy of Hair Design and upon graduation immediately began his barber journey with Rogue in March 2016. Cody has grown from a reserved and quiet newbie to an experienced barber who has pursued advanced education. In 2018, he landed a coveted title as a Scumbassador for Reuzel brand and travelled the Midwest training future generations of world-class barbers in the scumbag ways. (It’s a Reuzel thing) When he is not educating as a Reuzel Brand Ambassador, the shop can always depend on his ability to educate clients on how to achieve their hair goals from fades to beards to pompadours that would make Elvis jealous. We are so grateful to have a barber like Cody on our team to add depth and novel humor, but we are beyond honored to have a veteran who served our country with integrity and courage in our midst daily. If you have not had the chance to meet Cody in the shop, we invite you to swing by or check out his Instagram @Takthedog and see what all the hype is about!
