With snow falling at the home of our headquarters in Kansas City today, it's a perfect time for sharing some fun facts about snow and solar! Research has shown that solar can still successfully generate electricity in snowy areas and other harsh environments. Light snow has little impact on solar panels because it easily slides off. Heavy snow can limit the amount of energy produced by solar panels, but light is still able to move through the snow and forward scattering... brings more light to the solar cells than one might expect. Even when solar panels are completely covered by snow, they can still generate electricity. #solarpower

At Savion, we pride ourselves on innovation and growth. An important part of that is mentoring and preparing the next generation of leaders, which is why we're so pleased to announce the expansion of our senior management team with the appointment of Nick Lincon as president, Tim Dobney as deputy chief operations officer and the promotion of Scott Zeimetz to chief development officer. Their appointments supplement the hiring of Diana Scholtes as chief commercial officer earlier this year, and mark an exciting new chapter for the next generation of leadership at Savion. Founders Rob Freeman and Geoff Coventry will transition to strategic advisory roles on the board of directors. Please visit our site to learn more, and join us in congratulating the team on this exciting time! https://savionenergy.com/savion-expands-senior-management-/
