So glad the rain has finally stopped. Things can dry out out and we'll be able to get back to normal. One good thing...at least all the rain wasn't snow - way too early for that stuff!!

Some drilling days are just better than others!! It is hard to believe that we now have our fourth generation of Drill Operators BUT......sometimes you still have to call on the "MASTER"

God Bless America on this Patriot Day! May those brave Americans that died 9/11 continue to be a guiding light for each of us. Never forget their sacrifice for this great Nation.

This weekend is Labor Day Weekend . . . . and after consulting Wikipedia which states that Labor Day is a annual holiday to celebrate the achievements of workers - there is no one more deserving of this recognition than our "Crew" here at SWD. We have the greatest employees!!! We appreciate everything they do for this Company and our Customers.

The type of pressure tank shown below is something a well owner needs to be very careful of. The tank is rusted and pitted which can easily affect the structural integrity of the tank. Take a look at your tank once a year. It is a pressurized vessel that can cause extreme damage if it ruptures.

Lightning is a powerful natural phenomenon!! It blew these two fuses apart. Your fuse box or breaker box is the first thing to check after a storm goes through and you don't have water.

Digging in a closed loop geothermal job!

Doing a service call at a job site we found this concrete marker. Grandpa Lawrence and Dad had drilled the well in 1956, we had only been in business for 3 years. You can see: Drilled Dec 16, 1956 O.J. Schroepfer Pump Installer... Schulze Electric Bourbon Back in 1956 we drilled for Mr. Schulze out of Bourbon who also did electrical work. This was such an amazing relic to find.

So . . your Friday tip for the week involves two things that we would like for you our clients to watch out for: As you water the yards, gardens and fill the pool . . . is your system cycling properly. Bad pressure tanks are pump "killers" - - on the HVAC side - watch that condensate drain line. If that line is not draining it will cause the system to trip out and you will be "HOT"!

Tuesday it Finally quit raining long enough to drill again. Started an open loop geothermal system.
