Thank you everyone at St Stephen UMC for extending grace by wearing masks when entering the building and leaving them on! This goes out to all our preschool staff and the parents, our student ministries, worship attendees, our K&L groups! We can continue to support our community during this difficult season by being an example to each other and within Lincoln County. Blessings!... Pastor Bill LINCOLN COUNTY, Mo. The Lincoln County Health Department Board of Trustees approved new COVID mitigations Wednesday in response to the pandemic. COVID Stops With Me is the new order that requires everyone over the age of 10 in Lincoln County to wear a face mask. The order says a mask should be worn anytime someone is or will be in contact with people who are not members of their household in public outdoor and indoor spaces.

Please pray for the family of Mark Cross. He passed away last night after a long fight with COVID-19. Our community of Troy will surely miss him as well. He is certainly one in a million! He has a deep faith in Jesus Christ and lives it out throughout the world. We can only wonder the joy he is now experiencing as he is now in God’s eternal glory.

Friends, I might be like you, in that I can't believe it is already the Season of Christmas! I remember how skeptical I was last summer, when medical authorities suggested this would still be around for Christmas. And now look. Not only is COVID-19 still present, but it is getting worse within Lincoln County. We are still meeting in church on Sundays and of course we are LiveStreaming on this page, but we do not know how much longer we will be able to gather in person. ...If you feel it is not safe to attend, please do not feel guilty. Like wise, if you feel that you must gather in person, please do not feel guilty. I ask that we refrain from criticizing each other, or ourselves. I want to make another plea... where a mask whenever you go out in public. I feel that it is completely unfair and unjust to cheer on our community health workers, and yet abstain from doing our part to help them. Again -- please wear a mask in public. When we fail to wear a mask at the store, or wherever, we run the risk of infecting others. I get it, we may feel fine, but that is the problem, we may feel great yet still carry the virus and unknowing infect other Health Care Workers. So pray for them al and thank them by wearing a mask. Yes, it's uncomfortable and awkward, and even inconvenient at times, but it's certainly easier than getting another human being sick with this virus. Thank you and may you experience the forgiving presence of Jesus today. --- Pastor Bill See more
