I cannot say enough good things about the pepper seeds we chose this year from Baker Creek Heirloom! These are by far the largest, problem free peppers we have ever grown. We grew Ozark Giants, Horizon and Mini Bells.

What you are looking at is a set of FANGS from a copperhead snake that I just tripped across clearing out an area next to our rabbit cages. I started scooting over some bamboo on the ground and thankfully was using my foot. I stepped on it before I saw it and realized when it started to move it was a snake, about that time he turned around and struck my boot. Just so happens I got my new boots on I was bragging about yesterday and he hit me on one of the kevlar layers. It l...eft it's fangs in my boot, I then crushed it's head before cutting it completely off. Thank you Marie, again, for these boots! Best birthday present ever!!! They just saved me a whole mess of pain and misery and may very well have saved my life! I love you honey and man, do I love these boots!!! Stay vigilant ya'll, it's still snake season and they are out in full effect...that's the second one I've killed in less that 24 hours. See more

I have been wanting and waiting for a long, long time since moving to Missouri to get my hands on one of these old school, old ass, oak timber, Ozark county barns....today is finally that day!!! Holding true to my expectation, this thing is built like a tank and nothing on it, and I mean NOTHING wants to let go easily! We are panting and sweating bullets over here trying to peel this thing apart. The ol' timers who put these things together built them to last and the material...s, knowledge base, and skill set used are a testament to the fortitude, strength and toughness of these men, the mentality that they possessed. A mindset that if you do something then do it right and do it with the best you have to offer. I am in awe, floored with mad respect for the men who crafted this simple barn. It is put together with nails that hold better than the screws and glue of today. It's gonna be a really long couple of days tearing this thing down, salvaging and repurposing every last board and piece of hardware that I can. We are gonna be scratched, cut up, sore and a deep bone tired when this is all over with....and I could not be happier about it! See more

Rex, Californian and Flemish Mix rabbits, ready in 3 weeks and taking pretty orders, Thirty dollars. This Flemish cross is especially suited for pets and kids, incredibly friendly, sweet, loving and relaxed. Californian kits are quite big, great meat rabbits. We are in the process of setting up a small rabbitry here at Starseed Farm. We have Rexes (broken black, broken brown, red, blue, opal, black and my personal favorite Otter), Californians, Mini Rex, and a pair of Tamuks, a newer breed known for heat tolerance and excellent meat production. We also have 4 buns of a mystery breed, they seem to be some mix of Rex and Flemish that are some of the friendliest, most snuggle loving rabbits Ive ever met . We have 9 does due to give birth tomorrow so there will be buns up for sale in 6 weeks or so!

We had an amazing time working on and delivering this piece to my best friends husband Saturday night. Jason Fine had a badass Banjo-Anarchy themed throwdown at the Hanger @ Sunburst Ranch, and I really feel like we nailed the theme. Eric Morgan and his meticulous attention to detail and fine carpentry skills were paramount to pulling this off, the finished cake was damn near playable The cake was Chocolate Fudge Coconut Cream with chocolate coconut buttercream icing and th...e cupcakes were chocolate fudge with cherry cheesecake filling and coconut buttercream. The level of appreciation from Sunni Fine and hubby made every single minute of work worth it a million times over. It was also pretty rewarding hearing people repeatedly ask if that was, in fact, a cake?!
