During Virtual Learning, students may continue to check out and return books from the library. View the video for a tutorial on placing holds. Students and parents will receive an email notification when books are available for pickup. Books may be picked up or returned at the SLMS front office anytime during open office hours. On Wednesdays from 7:30 am - 2:30 pm, SLMS students may visit the library to select books for checkout. To support our reduced exposure protocols, parents and siblings will be asked to wait outside or in their vehicle while the student makes their selections

The SLMS Spelling Bee will be held after school at 3:00 on Tuesday, Dec. 15. Sign up by Friday, Dec. 11 via the Google Form at https://forms.gle/Mdfc3RPYVFuzzMoGA Students will need to be at SLMS by 2:45 on the day of the Bee and can have one adult accompany them to watch. The winner of the Bee will go on to the Jackson County Spelling Bee in February.... Contact Mrs. Griffin at [email protected] with any questions.

Additional Transition Day information: Students should bring their Chromebook a pen/pencil, but are welcome to bring supplies from this School Supply List as well (http://slms.lsr7.org//36/2/08/School-Supply-list-20-21.pdf). Student bus information is available for parents to view in Parent Portal - select the school bus icon from the left side navigation column. Below are the general guidelines for pickup times for our Transition Day:... AM Session (7:30-10:00am Hybrid Group 1: Students A-K) - Students should go to the bus stop at their normal AM pick up time as stated in Parent Portal. Please arrive early to the stop; however, buses may run a few minutes late as they are timing new routes. PM Session (12:00-2:30pm Hybrid Group 2: Students L-Z) - Students should go to the bus stop 4 hours after their normal AM stop time. Please arrive early to the stop; however, buses may run a few minutes late as they are timing new routes. Example: AM Stop time of 6:45 means the student should be at the stop at 10:45.
