Welcome back! #HighSchool is starting off #secondsemester strong with some exciting #science #experiments in the #BigBackyard! #Students particpated in a #safety lesson from Mr. Powers before using acetone as an organic solvent to dissolve the bonds in styrofoam, reducing it to its basic, gooey structure - although the styrofoam and acetone appear to react vigorously, producing bubbles as the foam begins to melt, there is no chemical change! Summit Freshman, Maren B., dominated the lanes at the Monett Invitational Saturday. Maren swam a 50 freestyle (her first freestyle since a shoulder injury earlier this year) and came in 20th out of 88 swimmers!!!
