Small businesses are amazing to own! As you can imagine it’s up and down, up and down as far as entrepreneurship goes and as far as this crazy year has been. What shops do you want to see in the spring? Frequent those now! This experience has taught us a ton, but mainly , how important it is to shop small: SOOOOOO: 1if you love a small shop in your town, frequent it. Your dollar is your vote. If you love having a great place nearby and want to keep them nearby, your ...dollars really count. A shop can’t stay open without you so get your hiney in there! 2bring your friends! Schedule your small meetups there, go on a date there, heck deliver your baby there. Just kidding on that last one. 3 shout outs on social media or in real life are huge. Take the extra time to tell your 400 closest friends about your experience or a fave product. You are helping that shop reach a group of people they may not have been able to otherwise! 4lastly, take the time to make a positive review on Facebook or yelp or wherever the kids these days are leaving reviews Thank you for loving us and supporting us!

We have a fun project for you and your family! We’re collecting cards and mailing these to elders in senior communities across the globe with whom are lonely and need some love during this very tough time to be isolated . Take a few minutes, sit down, and write a letter to an elder (a stranger). Tell them about yourself, maybe say a joke or a riddle and let them know that they are loved. It might feel difficult at first to be writing to someone you don’t know. Our advice: ju...st pretend like it’s a conversation! What kinds of things would you want to talk about to a stranger? Guidelines: 1. Letters must be legible (large print) and handwritten. No worries if you’re not artistic make your card as what you’d like to receive. 2. Avoid religion, if possible. Your letter should resonate with anyone. 3. Exclude the date (day, month, and year). 4. Embrace creativity! Recipients love it when the letters are personal. We encourage you to make your letters colorful and fun photos, crosswords, and drawings are great! 5. Be kind & thoughtful. This is a one-way letter exchange, so you will not receive a letter back. Receiving nothing in return is part of the beauty of your act of kindness, and recipients aren’t burdened by feeling obligated or unable to respond. 6. Envelope your letters if you can! It’s so much nicer to receive an enveloped card. If you’re sending more than 1 letter, leave your enveloped letters unsealed and unstamped and send them in a larger envelope or box. Bring them in and drop them off !
