2018 Morphettville Park Football Club Mens
A Grade Coach

The Morphettville Park Football Club are delighted to announce Jack Horan as our A Grade Coach in 2018! Jack comes to the club with a wealth of knowledge at both SANFL and Amateur League level and will be a great fit to help our young playing group develop and strive for success!

“The start of my coaching journey began in 2010 at age 26 when I took up the position as Reserves Coach and Midfield Coach at Glenelg Football Club under the tutelage of then Senior Coach Mark Mickan. This was a big role at the time and I learnt so much from this time.

An opportunity came up to play and coach at Sacred Heart Old Collegians in 2011 and 2012 which was a good experience in the SAAFL in Division 1.

In 2014, Mark Mickan was appointed as the West Adelaide Coach and again offered me an Assistant role in the Midfield which I have been doing ever since. The highlights of my time at West Adelaide were being involved in the 2015 Premiership and also as part of the coaching panel for the SA State Team over a 6-8 week period learning off some very experienced and knowledgeable coaches.

Over seven years of coaching I have developed my coaching philosophies, leadership skills and ability to build strong relationships. I'm grateful for the opportunity to help lead the football club into the coming season and help build a coaching structure and game style that will help advance the club in years to come.” – Jack

We would like to wish Jack all the best for the year ahead and we will keep everyone updated regarding a ‘meet the coach session’ in the coming fortnight!
